Take charge of your health!

Learn about colorectal cancer—the second leading cause of death in the United States—and easy, healthy steps you can take to lower your risk factors.

Attend free classes “Your Path to a Healthier Colon"
All classes are from 10am-11:30am
June 10 – Fiber Foods, Water Intake, Fruits and Vegetables
June 24 – Common Terms Related to the Colon

All the above sessions will be held Pontiac Public Library, 60 E. Pike St.
Classes will also include a question and answer session and light exercise.

Both men and women are at risk for developing colorectal cancer, with individuals age 50 and over at greater risk of contracting the disease. A family history of colorectal cancer or colorectal polyps also increases the risk. Others at higher risk include those with a history of a bowel disease, such as colitis or Crohn’s, those who are African American, those who are overweight and those who smoke.
